Review Variables and Report
The Review feature of the JP DM add-in enables you to review a report as well as each linked variable instance in a document or report. Disclosure Management's user role-based precision review assures that the right people are reviewing the right content.
Review Variable Instances
- Open the document or report from the Disclosure Management website.
- On the ribbon, select the JP DM tab and click Show Variables.
- Type the email address of your insightsoftware account in the Login window if it prompts and click Continue.

JP DM displays a variable list in the Variables panel, showing all instances of the variables used in the document by default.
- The variable instances that are ready for review have the To Review button in it. Select a to-be-reviewed variable instance, JP DM then automatically navigates the document to the page containing the variable instance and highlights it in the content. Review the variable data, then click the To Review button and select Approved or Rejected to update the status.
- Repeat the preceding step to review other variable instances.
- To review all instances of a variable, click the Instances: x button in a variable instance. The Variables panel then displays the current variable with all its instances.
The icons in the variable indicate the status of its instances:

- You can work with the variable instances as follows:
- Click the ellipsis at the top right corner of the variable to approve or reject all the instances.
- Click the Show drop-down list to display all instances of the variable or instances of certain status.
- Update the status of each instance using the status button under the instance.
- Click the ellipsis at the top right corner of the variable to approve or reject all the instances.
- To go back to the variable list, click the back arrow on the panel title.
Review Report
In addition to reviewing a report on the Disclosure Management website, the workflow assignees can review the report and report sections via the JP DM Word add-in.
- Open the report from the Disclosure Management website.
- Click Show Outline in the JP DM tab on the ribbon. JP DM displays the outline of the report and shows a status button on the sections that are assigned to you.
- The icons under the report root node indicate the status of the report sections you are involved in. You can filter the sections you want to display in the outline based on their status using the Show all drop-down list.
- Click a section in the outline to navigate to that section in the report, then review the content and click the status button under the section in the outline to change its status.
- Repeat the preceding step to review other sections.
